Cancellation and Refund Policy

Delegates unable to attend the WCIT 2012 Conference will be entitled to a full refund (less 25% for administrative charges), provided that a written request is received by the Conference Secretariat by September 1, 2012. The organizers regret that refund requests received after this date will not be considered. All approved refunds will be issued after the Conference.

If you need to make a substitution, you may do so at no charge until October 15. After this date, you may make a substitution name ONLY ON SITE AND THERE WILL BE A SUBSTITUTION FEE OF $100 CAD PER REGISTRATION FILE.

Full Conference Pass

This pass is for individuals who are interested in attending WCIT 2012 keynotes, panels, and breakout sessions. The following are also included with the Full Conference Pass:

• to the B2B and Networking Platform in order to schedule meetings with other delegates
• ICT showcase
• Bistro and pavilion lounges
• Coffee and refreshments during breaks
• Welcome Reception
• An Award Ceremony
• Delegate material

Developing Country Pass

Delegates from developing countries receive a discount off the Full Conference Pass. The Developing Country Pass is for participants from “Low Income Countries” and “Lower Middle Income Countries” as defined by the World Bank in its report entitled “World Development Indicators 2011”. B2B Pass

This pass is for individuals who are interested in participating in the structured B2B meetings that will take place on October 23. The following are also included with the B2B Pass:

• Access to the B2B and nNetworking Platform in order to schedule meetings with other delegates
• Access to the B2B room on October 23
• Access to conference sessions on October 23
• ICT showcase on October 23
• Bistro and pavilion lounges on October 23
• Coffee and refreshments during breaks on October 23

B2B Group Pass

This pass is for groups (10 people) who are interested in participating in the structured B2B meetings that will take place on October 23. The following are also included with the B2B Pass:

• Access to the B2B and Networking Platform in order to schedule meetings with other delegates
• Access to the B2B room on October 23. Companies or organizations that would like to pursue B2B activities on October 24 may rent an hospitality suite
• Access to conference sessions on October 23 and 24 (keynotes and panel on Canadian ICT innovation, panel on Global Young Innovators, panel on education, panel on healthcare, panel on smart cities)
• ICT showcase on October 23 and 24
• Bistro and pavilion lounges on October 23 and 24
• Coffee and refreshments during breaks on October 23 and 24
• An Award Ceremony

Student/Professor Pass

This pass is for full-time students and professors who are interested in attending WCIT 2012 keynotes, panels, and breakout sessions. Student or Professor ID is required at the registration desk. The following are also included with the Student Pass:

• ICT showcase
• Bistro and pavilion lounges
• Coffee and refreshments during breaks
• Delegate material

Note: A valid full-time student I.D. or a letter from the Dean of Administration (on establishment letterhead), stating student status is required before the conference and this proof must be sent by fax or email to the This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. An Award Ceremony

An Award Ceremony of WCIT 2012 will be co-hosted by the United Nations’ World Summit Youth Award (WSYA). The WSYA demonstrates young people’s potential to create outstanding digital content and serves as a platform for UN member states to reach the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

Accompanying Person Pass

This pass is for companions of registered attendees, and includes the Welcome Reception, access to the Accompanying Person Pavilion for refreshments, and a welcome kit. One-day city tour included.
